Challenge
Oksana Salaam is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor providing telehealth therapy to Florida residents. She had no website. Prospective clients could not learn about her services, understand her therapeutic approach, or book a session without first making a phone call. In a field where the first impression often determines whether someone reaches out, she had no first impression to offer.
Strategy
We built a site designed around the first visit. An interactive feelings check-in widget invites visitors to pause and reflect before they read anything else, reinforcing the practice's philosophy from the first scroll. The site covers individual, couples, and family therapy services, shares Oksana's background, and integrates directly with Headway for appointment booking. The design uses a warm, earthy palette (olive greens and soft neutrals) chosen to feel grounded rather than clinical. Built with Nuxt 3, deployed to AWS S3 and CloudFront, with a NestJS backend on AWS Lambda for health monitoring.

Mental Chec now has a professional digital home where prospective clients can learn about Oksana's approach, explore services, and book directly through Headway without a phone call. The feelings check-in widget gives visitors an immediate, personal connection to the practice before they ever fill out a form.
